Dear summer dream,
I know I have invited winter in,
I know I have asked you to go away,
I know I have called you a sin,
I know I have said I repented.
Come back to me,
Let me drown in your blue eyes,
Let your soul touch me when you look me in the eyes,
Let me have a taste of you once again,
Hold my hands,
Let me drown in your sins.
But leave again,
Leave before I am drowned to death,
Leave but know that my soul shivers when it remembers your touch,
Leave before your luxury becomes a necessity,
Leave before it is too late to repent your sins,
Leave let the winter in.
I will come back one day,
When I give up on God's mercy,
when I prove religion is a myth,
I hope by then it is not too late,
To let the summer in, Let your summer in....
I know I have invited winter in,
I know I have asked you to go away,
I know I have called you a sin,
I know I have said I repented.
Come back to me,
Let me drown in your blue eyes,
Let your soul touch me when you look me in the eyes,
Let me have a taste of you once again,
Hold my hands,
Let me drown in your sins.
But leave again,
Leave before I am drowned to death,
Leave but know that my soul shivers when it remembers your touch,
Leave before your luxury becomes a necessity,
Leave before it is too late to repent your sins,
Leave let the winter in.
I will come back one day,
When I give up on God's mercy,
when I prove religion is a myth,
I hope by then it is not too late,
To let the summer in, Let your summer in....
